Qualifications and requirements Requirements: • Advanced hands-on knowledge of Phrase TMS — this is a must • Strong understanding of translation files and workflows • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills • Experience with Adobe InDesign • Strong document formatting and file-handling skills • Understanding of fonts and multilingual formatting issues • Comfortable working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, InDesign, and other common file formats • Excellent computer and troubleshooting skills • Excellent spoken and written English • Comfortable communicating by phone • Highly organized and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously • Strong attention to detail • Able to work independently and solve problems • Available during U.S. Pacific Time business hours • Reliable computer and high-speed internet Preferred but not required: • Previous experience in the translation/localization industry • Previous project management experience • Experience coordinating translators or interpreters • Fluent or near-native written Spanish • Spanish translation or proofreading ability • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat, or other DTP software • Experience coordinating virtual or in-person interpretation assignments
Job functions Responsibilities: • Manage translation projects from intake through final production • Build, prepare, assign, and manage translation projects in Phrase • Prepare files for translation and troubleshoot file issues • Coordinate translators, editors, proofreaders, and other linguists • Format and finalize translated documents • Rebuild and format multilingual PowerPoint presentations • Work with Adobe InDesign files and multilingual layouts • Handle fonts, formatting, text expansion, and other multilingual DTP issues • Coordinate interpreters for virtual and in-person assignments • Find and schedule interpreters based on language, location, availability, and assignment requirements • Communicate directly with translators and interpreters by email and phone • Handle urgent and last-minute interpretation assignments • Track multiple projects, schedules, and deadlines • Perform final production and quality checks before delivery to our U.S. team
