Accounting & Operations Assistant

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Solid understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation • Reliable, self-directed, and responsive, with strong written English • QuickBooks Online and/or Shopify experience highly desired • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, formatting, and pivot tables • Comfortable preparing clear reports and presentations (PowerPoint a plus) • Based in Latin America and available for significant overlap with U.S. business hours • Prior remote or contract experience a plus

WHAT YOU'LL DO Accounting (Core Focus) • Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations • Enter vendor invoices • Review monthly sales tax reports and correct errors before submission • Perform regular reconciliations of the financials and investigate and resolve discrepancies • Prepare monthly sales commissions reports from Shopify / QBO • Enter A/R deposits and reconcile to transactions • Assist with A/R collections from customers • Assist with payroll entries • Help prepare inventory reports and cash flow forecasts Operations Support • Handle a limited number of international order and shipment issues • Take on recurring, one-off operational tasks to free up CFO's time • Prepare presentations and reporting materials as needed (PowerPoint proficiency a plus) Financial Reporting (Not Required but Highly Desired) • Prepare basic weekly and monthly reports and dashboards on U.S. and international sales • Assist with the annual budget and ongoing variance analysis • Help maintain simple financial models and reporting tools
